ECA Rally to Lymington and Port Solent
We currently have no OODs for this rally so nothing has been arranged at this point other than berths. If you would like to OOD then please contact the Rear Commodore (Cruising). We have shortened this rally from the planned 3 destinations to 2, and reduced the rally length to 4 days.
If you wish to join just part of the rally (e.g. just Lymington or just Port Solent) then book and email the Rear Commodore (Cruising) with the dates you wish to attend.
For Lymington, once we submit your boat details the harbour will invoice you via email. They will need to be paid 48 hours in advance of the booking or the berth may be reallocated. Go to the The Lymington Harbour Commissioners website (Lymington Harbour) for details of their T&Cs regarding refunds etc.
Fri. 28th August - Sail to Lymington - HW Chichester 12:40 BST 4.5m
For those in EYH depart at approx 10:40 and arrive at Lymington Dan Bran at approx. 16.42.
Pontoon party at 18:00 on the pontoon. Make your own dining arrangements.
Sat. 29th August Day in and around Lymington.
For those energetic enough why not do a walk to Keyhaven for lunch in The Gun. Otherwise why not browse Lymington Saturday Market in the High Street.
Neil & Brian will try and arrange an evening meal either in RLYC or a local hostelry.
Sun 30th August Head to Port Solent HW Portsmouth 13:34 BST 4.7m
Leave Lymington at approx. 10.00 to arrive at Port Solent, Portsmouth Harbour at approx 14.00.
Pontoon party at 18:00, Make your own dining arrangements.
Mon. 31st August (Summer Bank Holiday) - Day in Port Solent.
A day in and around Port Solent. The energetic can do a walk to Portchester Castle for lunch or catch a bus into Portsmouth. Otherwise there is always Marine Superstore to go and spend lots of pennies.
Pontoon Party at 18:00.
Neil & Brian will try and arrange an evening meal in one of the local restaurants.
Tue 1st September Head back home HW Chichester 14:55 BST 4.7m
Leave Port Solent around 11:30 for those based in Chichester Harbour.

Participating Skippers are reminded that all ECA rallies and events are carried out under rule 22 of the Emsworth Cruising Association Rules as published in the ECA Yearbook.
Participation in an ECA Rally or event is taken as acknowledgement and understanding of this rule.
The ECA draws to the attention of skippers and crew attending, that full responsibility for sea worthiness of boats and experience of crew attending is held with the skipper of the boat sailing to the rally. All information given should be checked before setting out.
