ECA Midweek Rally to Island Harbour, Lymington, and Cowes Yacht Haven

ECA Mid-Week Rally to Island Harbour, Lymington (Dan Bran Pontoon), and Cowes Yacht Haven - Tuesday 21st May to Monday 27th May

This is a 5/6 day rally to Island Harbour Marina on the Medina river, and then on to Lymington (Dan Bran pontoon), and returning via Cowes Yacht Haven. All times given are BST.

Tuesday 21st May

HW Chichester 11:09 4.2m

For those in EYH with sailboats leave around 10:00.

Island Harbour has a lock which is accessible HW +/- 3 hours for a 1.5m draft. Contact Island Harbour Control on Ch 80 after passing the last of the Folly Pontoons for locking instructions and berthing information. Let them know you are with the rally.

Unfortunately at time of writing The Breeze Restaurant has closed.

Pontoon drinks at 18:00 and eating on board.

Wednesday 22nd May

Day in and around Island Harbour. A walk will be arranged for those interested with possibly lunch at a pub.

Thursday 23rd May

HW Island Harbour 11:05 3.7m

Leave Island Harbour around 11:00 and head down the Medina and into the Solent heading for Lymington. We are on Dan Bran Pontoon. Contact Lymington Harbour Commission on 01590 672014 on Lymington Harbour Patrol on CH 68 for berthing instructions on arrival. There should be staff on the pontoon to assist.

Friday 24th May

HW Chichester :15 4.3m

Day in Lymington. Possible walk to Keyhaven for those interested.

Pontoon drinks at 18:00 and meal after at a local hostelry (e.g. The Haven, Six Bells).

Saturday 25th May

HW Portsmouth 13:32 4.5m

Leave Lymington around 11:30 for a leisurely sail to Cowes Yacht Haven (no arrivals before 13:00). Contact Cowes Yacht Haven on CH 80 for berthing instructions as you enter the river Medina.

Pontoon drinks at 18:00. Eat on board or Fish and Chips.

Sunday 26th May

Day in Cowes. Various things to do so decide on the day.

Pontoon drinks 18:00 and possible meal in a local hostelry (e.g. Kings Arms).

Monday 27th May

HW Chichester 15:06 4.4m

Leave CYH around 11:00 for leisurely sail with the tide back to EYH or points East.
