ECA Rally to Emsworth
Our Virtual Rally to kick off the season. More an excuse for a fun weekend together. Those of you with your boat in the water and not based in EYH then why not book in to the marina and come via boat.
PLEASE NOTE: We have 3 tickets for this event, one for each day to cover each days activities. Make sure you book a ticket per person coming for each of the days you wish to participate. We need to do this as we need deposits and pre-orders in advance.
Friday 20th March HW 12:27hrs 4.9m (per EYH tide table)
Evening Meal (18:00) at Sussex Brewery
Those arriving by boat, check into EYH as normal around HW. It will be Spring tides on Saturday 21st; tide gauge etc is available on the EYH website.
Evening Dinner.
Meet at 18:00hrs at The Sussex Brewery, 36 Main Road, Emsworth, PO10 8AU. The Sussex Brewery is a friendly pub on the main road into Emsworth and a short walk from the marina (leave the marina by the gated northerly pedestrian exit, continue straight up Slipper Road, turn right at the end onto Main Road and the pub is a short stroll on the right hand side).
We will have the private function room at the back of the pub. Menu can be found at: Sussex Brewery Menu
A deposit of £10/head will be required plus menu choices prior to the event. Please pay for your meal (less deposit) on arrival.
We shall have an Emsworth-themed quiz to keep you entertained over dinner, possibly with a small prize to keep you keen.
Saturday 21st March
Lunch (12:00) with Optional Walk Beforehand (Walkers meet at 10:30 by EYH Harbour Office).
Lunch at The Old House at Home, Cot Lane, Chidham, PO18 8SU. For any that haven't been there, this is a lovely friendly pub dating from the 18th Century in the small hamlet of Chidham. Good food. Because we are a large party for such a small pub they have asked that we eat at 12:00hrs as we will take over the entire dining room (there are other tables by the bar as well for other guests!).

For those wishing to stretch their legs we will organise a walk. It is almost exactly 3 miles each way. 10:30hrs meet at the picnic area in front of the EYH Harbour office. It can be quite muddy, especially the last bit across fields so boots or wellies are a good idea.
For those driving there is car parking at the pub. If coming from Emsworth direction, turn right off the A259 in Nutbourne onto Cot Lane, right next to the unmentionable Barleycorn pub.
Alternatively, or additionally, you could walk one way and bus the other. The pub is just under a mile down Cot Lane off the A259 where there is easy access to the 700 bus back to Emsworth. A walk there and bus back would be just under 4 miles in total.

For those wishing for a coffee and delicious bacon bap, or even better the veggie halloumi and avocado version (which we recommend highly), we will walk to Thornham Marina, Prinsted, PO10 8DD.
Just over 1½ miles each way, easy walking. What better way to start a Sunday! Meet outside EYH Office at 11:00
