ECA Rally to Cowes (SIBS Optional)

Rally to Cowes Yacht Haven. For those interested it is also Southampton International Boat Show so a Red Jet over for those who want to go. Please note the CYH terms and conditions on booking* at the bottom of this description as there is a cancellation fee if less than 72hrs notice is given so make sure the Rear Commodore (Cruising) knows before this if you book and then intend not coming.

Saturday 20th Sept - HW Chichester 11:56 4.7m

For those in EYH, leave around 10:00 - 10:30 to pick up the ebb from Bar Beacon to Cowes.

We have arranged to eat in the good old favourite,The Duke of York at 19:00. We will need to pre-order. The Main and Dessert Menus can be found at: Duke of York Menu. If you are eating please make your menu choices when booking on the rally.

There will be a pontoon party by Ghost Knot starting around 17:45.

Sunday 21st Sept

For those going to the boat show catch the RedJet from Cowes. Otherwise we have arranged for lunch at the Woodvale in the window seats for 13:00. For those walking (1.75 miles) leave the marina at around 12:15. We will need to pre-order. If you are eating please make your choices from the Main, or Light Lunch Menus. There is also the option of a Roast of Beef or Pork or a vegetarian Nut Roast it being a Sunday. Menus can be found at: Light Lunch; Main Menu

There will be a pontoon party around Ghost Knot from 17:30. Option for Fish & Chips from Corrie's Cabin after.

Monday 22nd Sept - HW Chichester 12:49 4.8m

For those returning to EYH, leave CYH around 10:00 to catch the flood back to Chichester Harbour.

Participating Skippers are reminded that all ECA rallies and events are carried out under rule 22 of the Emsworth Cruising Association Rules as published in the ECA Yearbook.

Participation in an ECA Rally or event is taken as acknowledgement and understanding of this rule.

The ECA draws to the attention of skippers and crew attending, that full responsibility for sea worthiness of boats and experience of crew attending is held with the skipper of the boat sailing to the rally. All information given should be checked before setting out.

*Cowes Yacht Haven T&Cs on booking:

Rally Organiser to provide final boat numbers, names, and lengths of those attending the Rally, at least 5 days prior to arrival date.

BEFORE ENTERING MARINA. All boats are required to call "Cowes Yacht Haven" on VHF Ch80 or by calling on 01983 299975 (option 1) for berthing instructions.

Please note that boats will be rafted if necessary.

Berthing for the event will be available from 13:00 on the day of arrival.

All berthing is in accordance with our Terms of Business, available on our website.

Cancellation A minimum of 72hrs is required, if the event is cancelled within 72hrs it may be subject to a 50% cancellation fee

Any changes to the boat details must be given to Cowes Yacht Haven at least 72hrs prior to the event. Cowes Yacht Haven cannot guarantee to hold the berth if an alternative vessel has different dimensions
