Calor Gas discontinuing small gas cylinders

If you are one of the many boat owners who use Calor Gas 4.5kg Butane or 3.9Kg Propane cylinders then please be aware Calor are discontinuing these, along with the 6-Lite and 12Kg cylinders. After withdrawal, when you next swap you will be offered a 7kg bottle instead.

They suggest the use of Camping Gaz 907 (2.72kg) or Flogas Gaslight (5kg) or Leisure Gas (6kg) Cylinder. If you have a locker designed for the Calor 4.5kg bottle you will probably find the only one to fit will be the 907 as the others will likely be too fat or too tall.

There is apparently a Flogas 4.5kg butane cylinder, but not sure how available this is/will be, or if it will also be affected by the withdrawal.

If you change from Calor you will need a new regulator.

Calor have been using the excuse of unprecedented demand and hoarding as a reason why they were in short supply so why on earth they would withdraw a product with unprecedented demand rather than fix the supply issue does beggar belief.
