ECA Upcoming Events Reminder

Just a reminder of the upcoming events for the rest of this season. Regularly check the calendar entries on the website for up-to-date details.
Saturday 22nd October -18:00 to 22:00 - AGM and Laying Up Supper
This year's AGM and Laying Up Supper will be held at Eames Farm on Thorney Road. The AGM will be followed by a fish supper.
Tickets to book your attendance or register your apologies will be available on the website from 26th September. Please do let us know if you intend to come or not. For those coming we will ask for your menu selection closer to the event.
If you have any business you wish to be raised at the AGM, or any changes to the Association rules to be proposed, then these need to be with the Secretary no later than 7th October. Rule changes will need a proposer and seconder.
There will be several committee positions becoming vacant so if you think you can help run the Association then please put yourself forward. If you are not sure then please speak to a member of the committee who can explain what is involved. Once on the committee you would receive lots of support from retiring and existing committee members to ease you into a role.
Friday 28th October - End of season rally to Chichester Marina
As usual our final rally of the season is to Chichester Marina. As we don't leave the harbour this should not be dependent on the weather. If you are working then you can opt to arrive on Saturday. If you don't want to come by boat but still want to attend the meal in Chichester Yacht Club on the Friday evening, we have set up a ticket for this. Tickets are available from today. We do have a limit to the number of boats so book early.

Saturday 19th November - 18:00 - 22:00 Speakers Meeting
This will be an American Supper so everyone brings something for all to share. It will be held in the Emsworth Community Centre. We will co-ordinate with attendees nearer the date as to what you can bring.
We are hoping to have a Sea Shanty Group to provide entertainment and will confirm this as soon as possible. If not you may get me boring you with details of our Scilly Isles trip.
Tickets will be available from mid-October so keep an eye open. (If we get the band it will be £10 per head to partly cover costs).
Saturday 17th December - 12:00 - 16:00 - Christmas Meal
Following on from the poll we conducted a few months ago we will be holding the Christmas Meal in The Kings Head in Emsworth again. More details and menu to follow nearer to the event.
