This was attended by Witch Hazel, Ruahine, Elwing ll and Tringa ll who all sailed round on Saturday 13th October. Tamarisk was already there fresh from the boat yard in Southampton, having been extensively repaired after her frightening incident off Guernsey. The wind was light but steady and Tringa ll sailed across Stockers Lake cutting off the corner, the boat only stopped three times due to shallow water, but releasing the “Southerly handbrake” (raising the keel a bit more) enable her to continue her way without any worries. Elwing ll sailed all the way, so both boats arrived during ‘free flow’. Ruahine sailed but had to lock in, as did Witch Hazel, with OoD’s Charles & Nicky. Those driving round were Golden Ibis (resident over the other side of Chi Marina) Carina and Badgie Two. With an excellent evening meal in CYC, it was an highly successful end of season rally.
