This year’s Easter rally is to the Folly on the river Medina IOW. It is an ideal way to start the season, sailing in the company of fellow club cruisers whilst at the same time enjoying the Bank Holiday weekend exploring the Isle of Wight.
Berths have been reserved for the rally on the Folly walk ashore pontoon from Friday 19th April however, depending on numbers some boats may have to berth on the mid river visitors pontoon or if preferred in Island Harbour. If you are interested in coming please register your interest on the form at the end of these details.
As you will see we have near spring tides and given the lunch time high tide for those with 1.5 draft we aim to leave Emsworth on Friday at around 11:00, 1.5hrs before high tide (or as soon as tide permits) with the aim to get to the Folly for 16:00, 4 hours after HW Portsmouth.
On Monday we aim to leave the Folly around 09:30am to get into Emsworth around 14:00, just before HW Emsworth.
When you approach the Folly Inn call the Folly Launch on VHF Chan 72 and inform them you are part of the ECA rally and ask for berthing instructions.
