We are now bound for Mercury Marina (tel: 02380 455 994) which is
upstream of Hamble village and the Port Hamble Marina. It is slightly
less convenient for walking into Hamble village than the two marinas
downstream but we are booked into the Waters Edge Restaurant in the
marina itself. All other facilities are as you would expect at an MDL
marina. Announce yourselves as an ECA boat and you should get a 10%
discount!

Our venue for Sunday is the Island Harbour Marina (tel: 01983 539 994)
just up stream of the Folly Inn on the Medina River, IoW. A departure
from Mercury at about 15:00 or later will give you the benefit of the ebb
all the way to Cowes Roads but you will have to then eat some tide going
up the Medina. So perhaps the morning affords a chance to walk part of
the Hamble Way, or just enjoy a lie-in!
At the Island Harbour we recommend that those with deep drafts and time pressures to get over the EYH sill on Monday go onto the visitors pontoons at the Folly Inn, while the motor and shallow draft boats go into the marina. Those of us on the pontoons can take our tenders up to the marina entrance in order to join those inside for a BBQ – bring something to cook and drink! |

Participating skippers are reminded that all ECA rallies and events are carried out under Rule 22 of the Emsworth Cruising Association Rules as published in the Emsworth Cruising Association Yearbook. Participation in an ECA rally or event is taken as acknowledgement and understanding of this rule.
